Terms of Service
These terms govern AmberDetect’s temporary public scans, connected creator workspace, and independent AI-assisted analysis.
1. Agreement
By submitting a video for analysis, creating an account, or using AmberDetect, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. When the service uses YouTube API functionality, you also agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service.
If you do not agree, do not submit a scan or use the service. You must be legally capable of entering this agreement and at least 13 years old.
2. The service
AmberDetect analyzes up to 300 recently returned public YouTube comment items, streams a temporary result, and may offer connected creators saved reports, aggregate insights, export, and owner-authorized moderation. Availability and quotas may change to protect cost, reliability, and platform compliance.
A scan is a sample, not the full comment section. YouTube may return only a subset of replies. “Latest N of M reported comments analyzed” describes the returned sample and YouTube’s reported count; it does not promise complete coverage.
3. Accounts and YouTube connection
Basic sign-in requests identity access only. Connecting YouTube is a separate action that requests additional Google consent. You must connect only an account and channel you are authorized to manage.
AmberDetect verifies channel ownership before saving YouTube data or accepting moderation actions. A public or non-owned video remains temporary even when the viewer is signed in.
4. Independent analysis and AI limitations
AmberDetect categories, scores, sentiment, and aggregates are independent estimates. They are not supplied, verified, or endorsed by YouTube or Google. They can produce false positives and false negatives and may misunderstand context, humor, quotations, dialect, or sarcasm.
Political-topic content is a text category, never an inference about political affiliation. You may not use AmberDetect to infer or target protected traits.
5. Moderation decisions
You remain responsible for every moderation action. Review the source comment and context before acting. Deleting a YouTube comment may be irreversible; AmberDetect does not keep a recovery copy after deletion. YouTube quota, permissions, or platform changes can delay or prevent an action.
6. Acceptable use
You may not bypass scan limits, automate abusive scanning, probe accounts you do not control, harass or profile people, suppress lawful speech through coordinated abuse, resell access, interfere with the service, introduce malware, reverse engineer except where law permits, or use AmberDetect unlawfully.
We may reject, rate-limit, suspend, or terminate requests that threaten users, platform compliance, reliability, or cost controls.
7. Data and privacy
Our Privacy Policy describes temporary streaming, the 24-hour text-hash cache, 27-day raw YouTube-data limit, derived aggregate retention, consented analytics, revocation, and deletion. You grant us only the limited rights needed to process submitted or authorized content and provide the service.
8. Plans and billing
Current quotas and implemented features are shown on Pricing. Paid subscriptions are handled through Stripe under the checkout terms displayed at purchase. You can manage or cancel an active subscription from Billing; cancellation normally takes effect at the end of the paid period unless applicable law requires otherwise.
9. Ownership and feedback
AmberDetect and its software, design, and trademarks remain ours. You retain rights in content you own. YouTube-sourced content remains subject to its owners’ rights and YouTube’s terms. If you send product feedback, you allow us to use the non-confidential idea without compensation; feedback containing raw YouTube text is subject to our raw-data retention limit.
10. Availability and disclaimers
The service is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the extent permitted by law, we disclaim implied warranties and do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, complete comment coverage, classification accuracy, a particular moderation outcome, or continued availability of third-party APIs.
11. Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, AmberDetect is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages; lost revenue, data, or opportunity; moderation decisions; classification errors; or third-party platform outages. Our aggregate liability is limited to the greater of fees you paid us in the preceding 12 months or USD $100. Mandatory consumer rights are not excluded.
12. Termination and deletion
You can stop public use at any time, disconnect YouTube without changing billing, or request account deletion. We may suspend or terminate access for material breach, abuse, security risk, or legal/platform requirements. Provisions that logically survive termination remain effective.
13. Governing law and contact
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Slovak Republic, without overriding mandatory consumer protections that apply where you live. Courts with lawful jurisdiction may hear disputes.
Questions: support@amberdetect.com. We may update these Terms and will change the effective date; material changes may receive additional notice.
